Eva

A warm welcome to you. I aim to write informative, inspiring and redemptive books.

I believe that wounds suffered in the past, lurk beneath the surface and influence the present. In my experience, if the past is faced, it is never too late to heal seemingly impossible situations. To soar high, it is often necessary to delve deep.

Sasha and Olga

"Only the pitiless will not be emotionally moved and affected by this well-written book."
~ Chris Schacht

In 1999 I set out to heal the relationship with my father, Sasha, a bitter, unhappy man, who had not spoken to me for 33 years. One of the unexpected outcomes of this mammoth quest which took me all over the world, was that he died a much happier and more contented man. July 2011.   I am delighted to report that I have found a publisher for my biography of the Russian violinist, Viktoria Mullova. From Russia to Love will be published by Robson Press in May 2012.  I am also pleased to have found an agent, Robert Dudley. I am now seeking to place 'Butterflies & Demons, historic fiction set in Adelaide, South Australia (see 'other writing' section).

I also had my story Dummy Dora published last December in Saying Goodbye (Dream of Things 2010 USA). That and Russian Roulette 2020 in Shine are selling well.

I'm thrilled to report that I have had a novelette Russian Roulette 2020 accepted for publication in Shine, an anthology of near-future, optimistic science fiction edited by Jetse de Vries. The book is due from Solaris Books in April 2010, and a Shine launch party planned at Odyssey, the 2010 British EasterCon, which is being held in Heathrow in April.

In the meantime, the anthology is already available to pre-order on Amazon.

From Monday 30 November, Jetse will be running a competition on http://shineanthology.wordpress.com/ posting an excerpt from each of the sixteen stories in the anthology and challenging readers to guess which of four alternative endings to each excerpt is the correct one, and which authors wrote which excerpt.

I've now had four  poems (less than 140 characters) selected for publication on Twitter @outshine (and paid!) by Shine Anthology- an e-zine for optimistic SF. Click 'read more' to see them.
